Eksposisi Humor Kiai Lokal dalam Mengedukasi Keagamaan Masyarakat Madura

Abstract

The scientific work aims to explore the exposition of humor exhibited by local kiai in conducting religious education for Madurese people. Religious education referred to in this study is the activity of providing guidance in the form of teaching and training in the framework of creating civilized, moral and religious human beings. In the context of Islam, this endeavor is called da'wah. In order to achieve these efforts, da'wah activities should not be monotonous so that the object of da'wah does not get bored in listening to da'wah messages. Thus, it is important to include humor in da'wah activities. This research uses descriptive qualitative method with comparison, categorization, tabulation, and inference steps. Comparisons are used to compare the data obtained about the form or presentation of humor contained in the content of local Madurese kiai's lectures in the religious education of the Madurese community. Categorization is used to summarize all data obtained by researchers and inference is used to conclude research results based on the categories obtained by the author. Based on the results of the researcher's analysis, the findings of this study indicate that humor in the preaching of the local Madurese kiai is exhibited in the form of breaker, trapper, parody, and guesswork.
