Abstract
Prayer is a fundamental act of worship that holds great importance in a Muslim’s life. However, in Kendal Hamlet, Waru Timur Village, there were still Muslim women facing challenges in properly understanding and performing prayer, whether in terms of recitations, movements, or the correct use of the prayer garment (mukena). To address this issue, a community service program was carried out using an educational and participatory approach that emphasized active involvement of the congregation. The methods applied included direct observation, interactive delivery of material, group discussions, and guided practice sessions led by the KKN Posko 6 sunan kalijaga team from STIDKI Al Hamidy Banyuanyar together with local religious leaders. The results of the program showed significant improvements: increased understanding of prayer’s conditions and pillars, corrections in worship movements, and greater confidence among the participants in performing their prayers. Moreover, the emphasis on spiritual aspects allowed the congregation to experience inner peace and stronger motivation to maintain devotion with sincerity. This program has provided tangible benefits not only in enhancing knowledge but also in fostering deeper awareness of worship. With ongoing guidance from local religious leaders, it is expected that the quality of worship practices will continue to be sustained. Furthermore, this initiative holds potential to serve as a model for improving the quality of prayer among Muslim women in other regions.
